VIVID Ideas 2023

(Human) Nature and The City—Panel Discussion

As part of VIVID Ideas 2023, Nguluway DesignInc Director Craig Kerslake is part of a panel of urban designers, artists and architects sharing the blueprint for cities that connect us.

They will be discussing how cities can be better built around our human need for community and belonging. Presenting a theory of place honed over the past decade since co-founding public art and placemaking company Cultural Capital, Mark McClelland will share what he believes creates a sense of community and home in a city. Mark will look back upon human history to show why public art and places with distinctive characters are so important to our wellbeing.

Joining him on a spirited panel is Urbis/Future State Director Kate Meyrick, urban designer Carlos Frias, writer, educator, and Director of Nguluway DesignInc, Wiradjuri architect Craig Kerslake.
